Phyllodoce

Phyllodoce (heather blue) is a genus of plants that includes about 8 species. These are low shrubs 5-15 cm high, densely branched and dense foliage so dense that resemble pine needles.

Leaves are narrowly linear, alternate, finely serrated, or brvité, 8-10 cm long. They have attractive džbánkovité flowers in shades of pink and purple, arranged in cones and grapes. Fruit is a capsule.

Occurrence

Phyllodoce found in mountainous areas of North America, especially in Western Europe, the United státech.V in arctic-alpine regions of northern Europe in the mountains.

It occurs sporadically in Scotland and the Pyrenees, in England, France, Iceland, Sweden, Norway, Finland and northern Russia.
