Decaisnea is a genus of the family Lardizabalaceae (Lardizabalaceae). It comes in the mountain forests of East Asia (China, Himalaya before).

Description

Decaisnea species are deciduous, upright growing, little branched shrubs. The winter buds are covered with two outer scales. The leaves are pinnate. The petioles are articulated at the base, petiole short, the part, the part leaves are opposite.

Decaisnea species are rounded (not flattened). The flowers are in terminal, vituperate, spiciform inflorescences zuwammen. The flowers have six, nearly overlapping imbricated sepals and no petals. The male flowers have six stamens with elongated anthers.
